   1.  The North Portland Business Association is the only business association on the peninsula, that is growing, has meetings every month of the year, and is managed by a full complement of officers and directors.  The hard working NPBA Board is comprised of all volunteer members of your business community, donating their time and talents to improving the North Portland business climate.  Because it is always working for its membership, NPBA has become the recognized business association that represents the entire North Portland business environment.  Our general meetings often feature speakers from the City of Portland, Multnomah County and the State of Oregon, which continues to build our relationship with these regulatory bodies. 

     2  We provide a monthly newsletter to each member, which keeps you informed  with all that is happening in the north area business community that can impact your business.  It covers a wide variety of topics including the latest information about business crime, what the association is working on for our members, minutes of the meetings, a business profile about new members that have joined, a bulletin board for issues and meetings that can impact your business and business training articles from noted authors.  The newsletter archives on this website provide not only a history of the organization but a great deal of information that can be reviewed for suggestions and ideas.

     4   A fourth great reason for you to join NPBA is our link to crime prevention agencies on the peninsula.  The moment we become aware of a crime issue that is in process, it will be posted on our website, and our members will receive a personal email informing them of the situation and alerting them to further details on the website.

     5   NPBA continues to honor a 20 year plus tradition of providing its members with a free breakfast at the general meetings, which are an opportunity to hear important speakers discuss information that can affect your business.  It is also a time to meet and talk with fellow business owners about business conditions.  Networking provides mutual benefits to the members and the general meeting is the venue for that opportunity.  While business people sometimes feel they can do everything alone, it is better to have formed friendships within the association with other owners that can network with you on a variety of topics that concern local business.
